The refrigerator is beautiful! My only regret is that this is the first counter depth fridge I've ever had. I have a built in island, and the depth of the regular refrigerator would make it difficult to get into the freezer door, so I chose the counter depth. Buyers need to be aware that a LOT of storage is lost making this choice. In addition to the shelves not being as deep, for some reason GE made the bins on the inside of the door much deeper than a gallon milk jug, so that further minimizes the depth of the main refrigerator shelves. The vegetable bins in the counter depth refrigerator are woefully shallow due to those unnecessarily deep door bins. I got a package of romaine and a bag of spinach in one drawer. The other contains a few onions, a few potatoes, and it's full. Luckily I had a small garage refrigerator that used to be for backup. It is now employed full time to make up for the space lost in this counter depth model GE.
The doors are stiff to both open and close. If you think you can give the door a push with your hip while your hands are full and have it close, you cannot. You must put your things down and go back to firmly close the fridge doors. The freezer closes easier than the refrigerator doors, and can be done with a knee if necessary.
The color is beautiful (Slate), and looks great in my kitchen. I probably should have looked at other brands of counter depth refrigerators, and if I ever need to replace this one, I certainly will. The interior configuration is vitally important, so be sure you look closely before buying. Don't trust the optics from online photos alone. Unfortunately, in my case this actual refrigerator (the counter depth model) was not available in the store for me too see before purchasing. Lesson learned. I would recommend the full size, but I urge caution if you need a counter depth model.

I've wanted a new frig for a long time. I purchased all new appliances and wanted a 4 door, this one only came in 3 door, but the color was what I liked. I also like that it's made right here in the states. Room for everything I need, I also like that if I don't close it, a bell tells me the door is open

Brand new $4,000 purchase and has not worked from day 1. Lost all our frozen food because the freezer is not working. Also won't produce any ice. Customer service is horrible and no help. Been a week now waiting for a technician to come and figure this out. Thoroughly fed up with GE. Don't buy this product. Should have known better, we had the same product previously and that died after 5 years. GE very poor in all aspects.

The new fridge looks really nice, and seems to work well, but the first replacement they brought us failed to work. Brand new and it didn't work. They brought us another one quickly. Our old fridge was only 6 1/2 years old, and it lost half its Freon it was too costly to repair. Third times the charm?

This refrigerator has good features, Great look. My only setback is that the touch screen may not last. As of today, the setting for ice cubes, jumps to water during dispensing. Tried to call for help, was asked to join a call service that costs $$ per month.. I bought other appliances in the group to update my kitchen. Hope I didn't make a bad decision.

This refrigerator is excellent value for those who need counter depth. We have small opening and cannot accept a larger, deeper refrigerator. We have found that it does have some noise, but it quieter than previous refrigerator from another brand. The water and ice in door used every day, but it does take up refrigerator space on left side. We felt trade off was worth it. I would recommend GE Profile series to friends and family.

I love the fact that you can see everything with ease. Before I had a side by side and I had to take almost everything out to find to find anything in the freezer, with my new bottom freezer, I can see everything at a glance! Love it!

I love everything about it! My wife is not as enthusiastic. She finds the freezer drawer a little hard to pull open - I don't and like the fact that it seals up nicely when closed (our previous top-freezer refrigerator would magically not seal and the ice would melt). She's not sold on the freezer drawer layout and I quite like it. The lighting is excellent and the noise is non-existent compared to the previous unit. The water and ice dispenser work nicely.

I've had a side by side for years and am still adjusting to this new style. There is lots of space and love the alarm feature on the door. The crushed ice comes out more forcefully than my old fridge so I find ice chips flying but overall I like the new fridge.

Overall we really like our new frig when it finally arrived. Even though the salesperson in the store told me it would be about 4 weeks; it turned out to be over 10 weeks. Based on our previous GE Frig we purchased in our previous home, this one had some excessive glue and putty on the interior which was a bit of a challenge to clean. The interior space is very functional and easy to adjust. My only real complaint is with the in-door icemaker. The same thing is occurring with this new one as with my previous one; that is that the ice clumps up in the bin and doesn't fall into the chute properly so not only do you not get any ice it also jams against the icemaker arm and prevents more ice from being produced.

This product has been the perfect find to upgrade our kitchen. We installed GE Profile appliances when we built our house in 1995. The 26-year old refrigerator that's been in the kitchen still works perfectly and has been moved to the garage to allow for this upgrade. The biggest reason I bought this specific fridge was for the auto-fill water dispensing feature. I can put any glass, cup, pitcher into the door and press auto-fill. It senses and fills the cup, stopping about 1 inch to the rim. I'm beyond impressed with how quickly the fridge cooled after install. The matte stainless finish is gorgeous and modern. I'm really happy with my purchase so far

Ice/water dispenser is poorly designed or engineered.
1. The water flow is very meager. It takes too long to fill a glass or other receptacle.
2. The ice gets clogged in the ice container thereby restricting the delivery of ice. This requires to empty the shelves on that door, remove the ice basket, unblock the ice jam and then replace the basket and shelf contents.
3. There should be one port for water, and one for ice. Too often, you're expecting to pour water and ice is released and vice versa.
4. The motor seems to run for long periods of time. Efficiency is questionable.
5. There is one crisper drawer that runs the entire width of the appliance. In order to open it, both doors have to be opened. Why not have two drawers so only one door needs to be opened?

As with all new GE appliances, the control panel is almost a reason to not buy the fridge. It is very difficult to read. Not sure why GE decided to make it so impossible to read. And I have good vision. I would hate to see any elderly person use that panel.
The room in the fridge is worse than our old GE Profile (21 years old) side by side. Not sure how that happened. Overall, I wish I would not have purchased it.

I bought this fridge to replace a 7-yr old GE Profile that stopped cooling. They both have the same external dimensions to the last tenths of an inch, but the old was only 20.9cu ft capacity, and this is supposedly 22.1cu ft. All the interior shelves on this one is inferior to the older model. They are thinner, lighter, cheaper, and lacking customizable shelving configurations like the old one. They also measure smaller, which makes me doubt how this is supposedly larger than my old fridge. It also does not have a display for actual temperature, only the set temperature. So if you want to track the actual temperature find another thermometer. There is also a problem with the top left door shelf rubbing against the right door when opening and closing causing scratches. For three grand I expected better design and quality.

LOVE the water sensor option - we have two goldens and you can usually find us standing by the water spout filling their water dish but now we just put a large plastic glass there, hit autosense and voila! I have had the top freezer and the side by side, this is by far my favorite. The slate is gorgeous and this GE Profile really feels like a quality appliance. Having said that......it replaced my 19 year old GE Profile so I'm hoping this one lasts as long!

With a shortage of new major appliances due to the pandemic, now's not the time to have a refrigerator die. But, that's what happened to our 20 plus year old fridge. We found one in stock that could be delivered in just two business days that would fit in our kitchen, though it was not our preferred color. We took what was available in a counter-depth in-door ice/water. We are happy with it overall but it is noisy, it runs almost continuously. The refrigerated section holds less cubic feet than our old refrigerator but we were able to fit more in it due to very efficient use of space. The freezer drawer is also quite useful and a week after it was installed I found a shelf against the drawer that is convenient for storing cubes of butter and other slim items. We enjoy the autofill water feature and only had it overfill once.

Our Kenmoore compressor went out after 4 years and was out of warranty. The 28 cu ft fridge was more than we needed and this 22 cu ft fits right in with room to spare in our kitchen. This is our second GE Appliance purchase in the last 3 years. Defiantly recommend to anyone needing a new refrigerator.

A beautiful appliance in the slate finish. Dosen't show fingerprints. Same size on the outside as our old GE but much more usable space inside . Great configuration of adjustable shelves and door bins. Freezer much bigger than I expected.
